EVERYONE LOVES A PARADE AND THEY'LL BE ONE SOMEWHERE FOR THE ANON who correctly guessed Augusto Pinochet. Heh, I bet Sheena's cursing as I'm sure her 'is he still active politically' question gave it away.*A few posts down, "How do you want Harper to Look?', Rasta Steve and Aryian Ken Doll Steve are running neck in neck. You can vote more then once, so go for it and I'll close the results over the weekend.
**LISTEN TO CBC's 'AS IT HAPPEN'S' CAROL OFF VIRTUALLY KILL RONA AMBROSE. Off is one of Canada's best journalists and while she'll be missed 'in the field' her studio appointment is the best thing to happen for 'as it happens' in a long time. Mother Corp's exploding arse logo and politcially motivated demise can't top having Off onboard....I'm sure Harpoon would never consent to an interview with her :)

I believe Carol just put out a book about the sordid history of chocolate.
A bit ‘off’ topic but she is always interesting, in fact probably one of the best reporters with the CBC and the only one to report anything remotely “real” from Afghanistan.
I find Rona Ambrose, aside from her weird angular version of “pretty”, is one of the duller numbskulls in the Stepford Caucus. I don’t think anybody is really shocked that the Neocons are doing nothing with the environmental portfolio.
They are making the Liberal obfuscating, posturing and foot-dragging look almost progressive.
As with our foreign policy, our environmental policy is now on pace and in lockstep with the Americans, (except for the fairly good example of California).
I think the Neocon environmental plan, (like all of their other policies), is “rapture based”.
As for the latest F.S.P. I take a stab, (oh, but were it with a long rusty blade), at Peter the perpetual dork, MacKay.

youngfox, nice commentary. Off's field work was exemplary and put egos like terry whatshisbighead (used to report with him in calgary, ugh!) to shame. ya, the rapture based bit makes birds of prey look like stuffed animals. i have to say i'm lost in the anocronym dept. on f.s.p. ....pray tell?

I also meant to say that I hope your failing eyes and hurty toofers are feeling better.
I’ve have not seen an optometrist since I was a child but have always enjoyed perfect vision, (aside from the occasional hallucination), and have a great fear of bad eye sight.
You should not delay the attainment of a remedy for that ailment.
The dentist on the other hand is my least favourite person.
Its always one part “Marathon Man”, one part lumberjack. I got my upper row of front teeth knocked out long ago in a mishap, all hanging by the roots and whatnot. I stuffed them back into my gums and ran to the dentist.
The months of trauma that followed still haunt my dreams.
Fucking dentists have a special place in ‘Hell’ waiting for them.
Time is certainly a cruel weasel gnashing away at our mortal husks.
Do take care.

oh geeze, i don't even know the intitials for my own thing!!! ah well. have had glasses since i was 20, it's only the last few years the 'closer ups' have faded....it's a hell of a lot better then a lot of things :) . as for your mouth mishap, ew, like that grossed me out, how horrible!!!! i can't even imagine what you went through. mengele lives on! thanks for you concerns.
