If Only They Were Normal - #8 - Tony Blair
In his youth Tony Blair modelled himself after Mick Jagger and was in a rock band called 'The Ugly Rumours'. How he got from that to the Bush-Loving, war-supporting asshole he is....well, maybe he was an asshole then, it kinda sounds like it from Wiki's report.If he were normal:
"I've traded in the Flying V for an old Martin and I'm gearing up for the Mid-East Jam session. The Boss's new CD of Pete Seger songs has inspired me to toss the Marshalls, go unplugged and get some Baez tab. I think 'Joe Hill' would be good for the line up. It would add an element of labour strife to war issues and how the common person just isn't getting anywhere. I'm putting forth a bill to the House to have my wages reduced to that of a hod carrier and have been hanging around Leister Square getting my chops up on Saturday night busking. The inequities, the class system, none of it makes sense. Oh, and we're telling the Orangemen to shove it and encouraging Ulster to just be Celtic. I'll take the cross off my neck as a symbolic gesture and toss it in the Thames when all our troops are withdrawn from everywhere. If people must have churches they can be on their own, no corporate religion, just simple fellowship with no ties. Bush and his chums can take a long walk off a short pier.'

Tony is so articulate, British can sound so intelligent...but... then there's the company you keep. I bet when he's down in the basement and sees the old Flying V case, reminding him of when he was in tune with the world, he must think, 'what a wanker I've become?'
You should know that Tony is a love bird. Tony and Dubbya have endless love for each other. They were found singing duet on the Whitehouse lawn:

Ahhh scout, the beauty of your imagination astounds me. It would take a rocket ship of intergalactic imagination for me to even begin to think of Howard of some retiring, tatooed and fading rockstar. I was trying to get something up in my blog (but it keeps disappearing on me!) about our dear leader who recently fainted at the thought of carbon trading (Go fossil fuels kinda guy) and just the idea of putting his face out there sent shivers down to my twitchy toes.

Tony looks much better in the pic here than I've ever seen him. Maybe you should send him the link so that he could read your piece and see the improved pic. I didn't know about his rock-star aspirations in his younger days. Interesting... hmmm... how could he have fallen so far down into the abyss? What did Bush dangle in front of him to make him a neo-CONvert? I didn't read the entire Wiki about him, so maybe the signs were there all along, as you suggest. Does he have a wife or partner? I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and
said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
