Thanx for scouting the links, otherwise I would never get away from the usual gang of idiots at Mad magazine. Yes, Rabbi Yehuda Levin lamented, " we are faced with 6 days of promiscuity and debauchery unparalleled in the Middle East". Apparently a Pride celebration would be worse than the everyday bombings and mayhem.
 

This mayhem in the Middle East must stop. I heard Mossad arranged to agitate Hezbollah and they then captured the two soldiers who were spying. Even if Hezbollah is wrong, does this justify killing close to 1000 innocent Lebanese, destroying everything they have and destroying the infrastructure. Will that bring the peace? I doubt it.

anon, no , hezbollah's spy capture does not justify the severe retalliation. gee, wish i had the nerve to click on the vid link, but i don't, sorry. i seldom do as it takes so long to download, and if it's not a pretty picture i don't really want to see it....vid or still. a gal can only handle so much, ya know? peace only comes by wanting it and working towards it. permanent ceasefire helps too :)
 

Scout, it is a British MP talking about the situation. I do not think you need to download. If you have Realaudio or something it will play in no time. But I understand your hesitance because it can be depressing.

I really like the pictue of Olmert, rainbow and all, with the good people in background... Your parody is simply the best! Indeed, wouldn't it be a much better world if they actually losened up and smoked the peace pipe together to the strains of John Lennon's songs?

As the Georgia Straight article shows, all propaganda should be taken with a large dose of salt and skepticism. That's why I am so cynical about anything our leaders - or those of other nations and groups - say and do in public. Everything is PR campaign, photo-op. Consequently, I believe very little of what I see or hear anywhere on the MSM. I viewed that CBC news segment about the N.Israeli disabled home...While I am empathetic to those poor disabled people, I also know that the Lebanese are enduring much worse. This war is terrible and unwarranted. As we know by now, the Israeli's started their campaign to attack Lebanon long before Hezbollah's capture of their couple of soldiers. That simply gave Israel the go-ahead they've been waiting for, and the US gave them the green light. Harper jumped on the pro-Israel band-wagon in the hopes of wooing Jewish voters away from the Liberals.

It's all a game to these 'big boys', and about how they can come out better in the polls. Politicians are nothing more than self-aggrandised leeches.

You are right, Corfunix's science blog is interesting, and I've bookmarked it. I noticed that his specialty is chronobiology (circadian rhythms and sleep). Maybe I could find some suggestions there about my long-suffering sleep problems...

The video link that anon put in here is ok to watch. I've seen it a couple days ago, when I received the link from one of my groups and I put the link on my site. It's about George Galloway, telling the truth about the terrible realities of Israel's war on the Lebanese people. It was actually good to see him cut the brainless female anchor a new a-hole, when she tried to put words into his mouth. It is safe for you to watch.

I think that was the gist of my previous comment. Now I can't post anymore, as this thing is still running in the background and driving me bonkers, so I'll shut of the machine and go to bed with my book. BTW the book I'm reading is Linda McQuaig's: "It's the Crude, Dude - War, Big Oil, and the Fight for the Planet". It is totally absorbing!
